1. Briefing
Easy first km, with a short and easy climb after the town of Pedreguer (km 10), followed by easy kilometers that will bring us to the town of Parcent to attack Coll de Rates.
First climb at km 25 to one of the most well-known climbs of the region: Coll de Rates. perfect road, excellent views, and a cyclist atmosphere. Once we reach the top, we will go through a fast descent with some short climbs along the way. We will reach the town of Tàrbena where we will be heading to the second climb of Sa Creuta.
After Sa Creueta, we will have ahead a long descend with a wide and nice road that will bring us back yo Denia.
2. climbs
❚ Km 22 ⇝ 28 ❚ One of the most popular hills of the region. 6 km climb with an average that doesn’t go beyond 6%. This is the shorter version of the climb, the longer starts on the opposite side of the hill, in the village of Callosa d’en Sarrià.
❚ Km 36 ⇝ 41 ❚ Short 5 km climb which could be considered as a continuation of Coll de Rates. Stars in the town of Tàrbena and does not present particular difficulties.
3. TRAFFIC
Once we cross the town of Ondara at km 10 roads will be calmer.
4. ROAD QUALITY
The quality of the road is very good through the whole track.
