Routes // Xàbia

Easy first 25 km that will bring us directly to small villages and calm roads. Some easy climbs in the first 25 km, but nothing compared to our first challenge of the day.
Once we cross the village of Pego we will be heading to l’Atzubia. At km 35 we will start facing the first steep sections warning us what is awaiting us; the hill of Miserat.
Once we reach the top of Miserat, we will be able to recover with a long descend to the town of Ebo. At km 50, right after the town of Ebo we will face a short and easy climb in ‘Pla de Petracos’.
The second climb has no hidden surprises, however in this 5km climb we might start paying off our previous efforts. After reaching the top we will be rewarded with a nice descend with a excellent road.
Probably one of the hardest climbs in the province of Alicante. Easy first 500 m with 6% incline. After the first km, gradients go up to 18 and 20% through a narrow and winding road. At km 3.5 we will have a short break before attacking the final climb of 1 km through a very narrow road that will bring us to the top of Miserat with gradients again up to 20%. A total of 6 km ascent that will challenge even the fittest cyclist.
We will be facing some more generous gradients compared to the previous climb, however we should take this hill easy. This 6 km stretch has an average of 6,5%, with tops that go up to 8%.
Once we cross the town of Pedreguer at km 15 roads will be calmer. Taffic is very low between the town of Pego (km 35) and Benimaurell (km 70).
The quality of the road is very good through the whole circuit. The first part of the climb of Miserat can present some minor holes on the road.

We love our region and we are always willing to share our favorites spots. Enjoy the ride!
